
Dr Shaheen Khan is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Khan provides a broad range of expertise in the management of medical problems within the context of serious illness. He treats patients in a holistic manner, working closely with their clinical teams, relatives and carers.
He graduated from Guy’s, Kings’ and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2003, having also been awarded a first class honours degree in BSc Neuroscience in 2000. He completed the MSc in Palliative Care from Kings’ College London in 2010, and in 2011 he obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Leadership.
Dr Khan is committed to education and training and is the Training Programme Director for the KHP Palliative Medicine StR training programme in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. He runs regular courses and seminars for medical practitioners, community and hospital staff on a range of topics including pain control, medications safety and advance care planning.
